Ahmic Lake Resort

Located north of Muskoka in Ontario’s beautiful Almaguin Highlands, Ahmic Lake Resort is a year-round destination for cottage getaways, camping, dining and outdoor adventure. Our family- and pet-friendly resort offers comfortable cottage rentals, camping, watercraft rentals and the Swiss Country House Restaurant.

Set on 70 acres with 2,400 feet of waterfront, the resort is surrounded by the natural beauty of Ahmic Lake, with a river, rapids and dam right on the property.

Experience Ahmic Lake

Get out on the water and explore 31 miles of navigable waterways from Ahmic Harbour to Burk’s Falls. Spend the day boating, paddling or fishing for pike, bass and pickerel, or relax and swim at our protected beach.

On land, enjoy peaceful walks, wildlife and bird watching, spectacular fall colours and plenty of space to simply unwind by the lake.

Choose from comfortable 1–5 bedroom cottages and our Lakeview House, with options for couples, families and groups.

Comfortable Cottages on Ahmic Lake

Choose from our 1, 2 and 3-bedroom cottages, spacious 5-bedroom double cottages, or 5-bedroom Lakeview House, surrounded by trees with beautiful lakefront or lake views.


Our cottages offer comfortable living spaces, electric heat, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Most feature a cozy wood-burning fireplace, with the exception of Cottages 1, 2 and 3.



Each cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cookware and cutlery—everything you need to settle in and enjoy your stay at Ahmic Lake.

The Swiss Country House Restaurant & The BAR"N"

Enjoy great food and warm hospitality at the Swiss Country House Restaurant at Ahmic Lake Resort. Located in Ahmic Harbour in Ontario’s Almaguin Highlands, our licensed restaurant is known for our classic pork schnitzel, hearty favourites and relaxed cottage-country atmosphere.


Join us for breakfast on Sunday, or dinner with seasonal specials and live music and entertainment throughout the year.


Whether you’re staying at the resort, visiting the area or joining us from the local community, everyone is welcome.


Come for the schnitzel. Stay for the music, atmosphere and Ahmic Lake hospitality.

Great place to stay if you are sledding. We rented a 2 bedroom (Cottage #10) for the weekend. Its clean, spacious and the wood burning fire place makes it nice and cozy. The main trail is a 2 min ride from the resort so it's easy access in and out. The dinner at the restaurant was great and the buffet brunch on Sunday is probably one of the beat I have had.

Food is plentiful & delicious, service was excellent considering short staffed (Due to Covid). Certainly have gone out of their way to adhere to Covid protocol. Reservations is a must as place is busy from opening until close.

So much to do and see with lots of couple privacy if so desired. Wonderful restaurant and bars for meet and greet opportunities. Wondrous natural scenery with gorgeous water views and almost every amenity possible. Ahmic Lake Resort is a beautiful place to stay if your looking for a stress relief from reality. We stayed in cabin 1 with a view of the lake. Sun rise and sunsets were beautiful with calm waters all across. The Swiss House Restaurant is amazing rustic feel and the ladies are awesome. Friendly atmosphere and you meet a lot of great people who come for the same reason. I recommend this resort too young and old who enjoy the camping scene, tent, trailer, or cabin you will love it.

We stayed in Cottage 10 for the weekend, we were in the area for a wedding. The cottage was perfect. Extremely clean, deck was beautiful, kids loved the dock and swimming. we also stayed for the fathers day brunch at the restaurant and it was amazing! so much selection and it was delicious! will definitely be back!

If you want a great place to stay in the winter book cabin #7 we had a blast great trails to sled on and the out door hot tub was so nice after riding the trails, the food in the restaurant was soooo good could not finish it you get so much and the prices are good to, the staff is really friendly and make you feel at home, ,Were are so impressed were booking for the summer , if you have kids they have a small petting zoo and nice play ground even the camping area looks nice , give a try you will be happy :) Thank you to the staff that made us feel at home
